Anyone have any pet loads for this caliber that they are willing to share. I wanted a new project so I just bought one and want to get started on it.

Thanks!

That's in my 2 different Kimber 270 WSM's. It shot just as well in my buddies HS Precision Pro-Hunter. It might be a good load for you to try also..................DJ

My favorites in the .270WSM are the Nosler 140 gr Accubond, Win Case, Fed 210 primer and 65.0 gr of Vihtavuori N-165. You will probably find that most slow burning powders will work well. I have also had some excellent results with Reloder 19 with the 130 gr Nosler Ballistic Tips, and even the 90 gr Speer TNT and 90 gr Sierra Hollow Point with IMR-4350 and Reloder 19. Others have reported that their favorite loads use Accurate Magpro, or H-4831, or Reloder 22, IMR-7828, H-1000, Reloder 25 or Retumbo (usually with 150 gr bullets). I am currently experimenting with Accurate Data 86, an inexpensive bulk powder that is very close to Accurate 3100 or IMR-4831. While my results haven't quite equalled the Reloder 19 or N-165 loads, they are certainly adequate for hunting and with further tinkering may yet match the more expensive powders. My .270WSM is not finicky at all, unless you try to use faster powders like Varget with 130 gr or heavier bullets. As long as you stay with powders in the 4350 range or slower, you should be happy.

Bullets are pretty worthless. All they do is hang around waiting to get loaded.

My load is 70 gr of Magpro, 140 Accubond, Winchester brass, trimmed and flasholes uniformed. Fed 215 primer, set back .060" off the lands. Accubonds don't seem to like being seated close. I get .25 MOA with this load at 3150 fps.
