Are you asking about durability of the scope or return to zero after taking the scope off or?
I use the Leup. QRW base & rings on my .404jeff w/o any problems using a VXIII 1.5x5.

I've got that scope on a .25-06 and love it! I don't baby anything and it's been fine. Mine has an AO and I do set it for 150-200 yards depending on area. I've shot stuff as close as 30 yards with a clear picture. Nate

The rings are quite strong, like I said, I use them on my .404 & recoil is at least 2 times the 7mag. For my money, the Leup. VXIII scopes are pretty good scopes & I have owned or shot just about everything. I like German glass better but @ almost twice the cost, I'll stick w/ my VXIIIs. beer

I've used the Leupold QRS system on my M700 30'06 "Go To" gun for years now and have no complaints with regard to durability or return to zero. I use mine mostly to save room in the safe and to keep a zero'd backup scope ready if needed. Regardless the mfg I lap the rings and shim the bases if needed when I install them. A 3.5-10x Vari-X III is a better rifle scope than most hunters on the planet have. It ought to be plenty for big game out to as far as you are certain to make first round hits. Good hunting!

The Bushnell elits scopes are prty darn goo for the money but the VX3 leupolds are better and for a 7mm mag the one you have is prety hard to beat. I have a set of the QRW,s on a malin 45/70, and I like them a lot. I am planning to build a custom 35 whelen on a model 70, and I will probably go with a qR system of some kind, and a VX 1.5 X 52...tj3006
