I'd like to try a 358 Norma, and have a short-chambered barrel here in 35 Whelen. I believe that the 358 Norma reamer will completely clean up the Whelen chamber, being as it's .050" short in the first place. Can anyone confirm this? Also, will the current 14" twist be ok for Norma velocities? TIA, the _captain

It will clean it just fine. The 14" should also be fine.

As usual just my $.02

The Norma will clean up the chamber. My 350 Rigby was also a short chambered 35 whelen 1-14" tube, and it works quite well. It accurately shoots a 280 gr cast bullet @ ~2000 fps, as well as 250 gr jacketed bullets @ 2700 fps. I think you'd fine even with the 310 gr Woodleighs, though they might need 1-12".
