I was recently browsing one of the gun shops and saw a used Howa 1500 .308 for $330.00

No rust on it a little paint chipped on the edge of the bottom plastic floorplate. proably 90% condition. Thoughts on if this is a fair price or not?,... figure I should be able to dicker down to 275-300?

Thanks for the response guys,

I sorta figure it was in the ballpark, Will have to take a closer look at it and see if I can get any details on its history # rnds through it etc.

I know Howa's are good,...I have a vanguard in 7-08 that I absoultely love.

Just been a LONG time since I seen a gun on the rack below 500! Kinda have a craving to get all the calibers based on the .308 already haver the .243 and 7-08, But have no practical reason for getting it especially with a M-4 AR lower sitting around without an upper.

Plastic floorplate?? Mine is steel. That is still a good price. See if they have some brass they will toss in.
