The new Stevens rifle is basically an old Savage rifle. It differs from the current Savage rifles in that it does not have an Accu-Trigger, has a grey stock, I don't know if it has the pillar bedding or not. Their shotguns come from Russia. I believe they are a higher grade version of what Reminton is bringing in. Aaron

I believe it was in the new Guns and Ammo, but it mentioned that new in 2005, Savage will begin to market a rifle under the Stevens label (the same one that brings in their double barreled shotgun). It is called the "Stevens model 200". Any clue to what this might be? I would assume it is some kind of CRF mauser variation, but from who? Baikalinc.ru site doesn't list any bolt action rifles and they have teamed up with Remington, who does Savage get it's shotguns from? 79
