He's not calling you stupid, that's his signature line, and I love it! Yes, you can paint a plastic stock yourself. Just sand out the mold lines, and degrease it first, I used mineral spirits. I used a plastic primer, and drab Krylon, It was cheap and looks it. If you want better, use a high tech epoxy coating like GunKote, and go to harbor freight and get their cheap airbrush. You can use stencils to give it a camo pattern. It is really easy and fun painting a plastic stock, and you usually won't make it look worse. There is probably someone who will paint yours, somewhere out there. Just don't freak out if they make a joke. Jason

Sorry about that.I meant to say you should try painting it yourself,it can always be painted again.I have camo painted a few shotguns, and some other guns, and like the results I got. Maybe I should change my signature line, this isnt the first time someone thought I was slamming them, but I think its funny. ****************************************************************** SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM ***********

Hey Ed, If you go over to the Gun Smith Board and look back a few pages, you might find just what you are looking for. Look for a post by "jimmyd223" where he used Fleck Stone Paint to do his own. Or if you want some actual pictures on the stock, contact Roger "Bartsche". His wife is a REAL artist and she has done some interesting stuff on his Stocks. Best of luck to you.

Paint it yourself, it's very easy. I use Rust-Oleum Multicolor textured paint, #223525 Aged Iron. Medium gray with white flecks in it,dries with a pretty good "tooth" to it. Hides surface imperfections well. Lighly sand to smooth it out a little and you have a great looking stock, cheap and easy.

Head Tramua, Man if you only seen my kids pinewood derby car you wou never even think of such a thing as me and spray paint. And the other thing is the wife has wrote all the checks for this gun so I am sure she would just flat out kill me if I tried. Thanks, ED

Get a junker wood stock at a gunshow for $5 and give it a try. I think you will be very suprised and very pleased how nice it looks. If not, you're not out a lot of money. If you like how it looks, well, there is a lot to be said for self sufficiency.
