It does hold up at 9,3x62 velocities, even at short ranges .

I have shot a few wild boars with it in a F.N o/u express rifle in 9,3x74R and never, ever, could recover any.

Always got pass-throughs.

Snake river rufus
I have killed a few deer and wild pigs with this bullet in my 9,3x74R. Do a search in the medium bore froum as this bullet has been discussed a fair amount. The second biggest pig I have taken so far was killed with this bullet. It is the only Speer 270 I have recovered. It was perfectly mushroomed. It hit a 300 lb boar, at 27 yards running away at an angle, went through the left shoulder, broke the neck and ended up in the jaw.The pig dropped to the shot, but I quickly ran up and put a couple of 44 Mags in the head, as he was still kicking.[Strangely enough they were Speer 270gr factory 44 mags. ] Retained weight was 221.4gr. Max expansion.925 minimum expansion .708. My chronograph velocity is 2390fps.
