That would completely ruin it; just get any old 8mm bolt gun.
Yes, definitely get a 9.3 and I assume you are getting a DR of some type, (Or a single shot).
I have a Chapuis, a Krieghoff, and a Custom that shoots into one hole.
While you are at it, get a bolt rifle in 9.3x62; same ballistics for when you want to use bolt trash.

I am looking at a Blaser k95 single shot in 9.3x74.

I have a Sako 85 in 9.3x62.

Thanks for the info.

I’ve been wanting to do one in a Ruger #1 Stainless. I like the 9.3x62 already.

I am back from a long Hiatus... or whatever.
Take care.

Hi.

I have a 9.3 x 74 chapuis.
I think it's the hunting rifle, which I've been looking for throughout my life.
I shoot 175 yards.
A great caliber.

Best regards.

Manuel.

I have several in a Ruger #1.

Nice medium rimmed round for a single shot with the exact same ballistics as a 9.3x62 in a bolt action.

Cheap way to get into this caliber without going the Double Rifle route...

I have a Merkel double and a Ruger #1 in 9.3x74R. I love the cartridge. The Merkel was my first double rifle and I have taken everything from eland to turkey with it. I use 285/286gr bullets on everything. Have not hunted with the Ruger yet but it is accurate with every ammo I have tried.

Safe shooting...….LL

I just picked up a Ruger No1 in 9.3x74

I have used it's cousin the 9.3x62 with 286 gr bullets on hogs extensively.

Love that cartridge.

I much prefer the 9.3x62 in a bolt gun, but a Ruger no. 1 would be super in a 9.3x74. but I see the 9.3x74 as a double rifle, and a dandy..

That's one of the few rifles I passed up when it came out and really regret.

Got a ton of 9,3x62's but Double or Single in 74R would be a welcome addition.

That K95 will be a very classy rifle in a 9.3x74.
on my first safari to South Africa I shot 7 plains game with my TC encore with a custom x74 barrel (Diker to blue wildebeest) Second safari used my Chapuis double (Favourite rifle) took Cape Eland and Sable. Used swift Aframes. Would highly recommend the round.
