I needed to put a new stock on my old Rem 700 30-06. Since both of my sons have layed claim to most of my rifles and shotguns, I figured I would let my thirteen year old pick out the stock for my(his) 30-06. Like I said, I hope he likes it. Kinda wild for me. But then again kinda kool also.

It may not be my taste, but shooting and hunting are supposed to be fun. I hope he likes it as well.

I think your son will love it. After all its from his dad. Your son will appreciate this rifle more then you know.

Personaly, I think your rifle look's great. You have to dare to be differant.

And as to fix n' this rifle up for your son. well good for you. I have to congradulate you on doing such a thing.

Hey Steve, A young fellow on one of our hunts leaned his rifle against a tree "long enough" to drag his Deer out of the swamp. Took a half dozen of us 3-hours to find it and destroyed hunting there for a month.

That should not be a problem with that stock. I do like the shape of it.

Good Hunting and clean 1-shot Kills.

It looks like a stock a lot of 13 year olds would pick!! I think involving him in customizing his rifle is great. I will look forward to a pic of him with his rifle and a whitetail soon........

Good Hunting,

Bob

I like it just for the fact you let your 13-year-old son make the choice. Besides that, you'll never have to worry about someone grabbing it of the gun rack by mistake at camp.... :-)

I think it looks pretty racy, but not over-the-top.

Good hunting,
desmobob
