I just purchased a pair of Musgrave Model 90 rifles. One in 30-06 and the second in 243. I know that they are made in So. Africa. Beyond that I don't know anything about them. Anyone have any experiance? Also, I need scope rings any thoughts as to where I can get them? Thanks!

Is the Model 90 built on their push feed or their Mauser-type controlled round feed action? I have both kinds of Musgraves(6 of them), so if you let me know which your's are, I'll go own to the vault tomorrow and fish out the appropriate rifle(s) and let you know which make of rings and bases I have on it. I know regular American bases and rings fit both, but can tell you precisely what I have on mine if it will help. My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.

Just out of interest, it was my Uncle (and his team) who 'designed' the Model 80 Musgrave. The Model 90 was a lighter version of it. What he did was to take the best features of existing actions and combine them into one. Sadly, I don't have one. Musgrave also built rifle on the M98 action. Those actions were not made by Musgrave, I believe. Regards 303Guy

Thanks all! It has a control feed action that looks like the Mauser 98. It has double square bridges on the reciever. I was told they are model 90s. I haven't recieved them yet, is the model stamped on the rifle? Dave
