I am going to use the 300gr Barnes SN with .049 jacket on my Bison hunt next month. Does anyone have experience with this bullet? Will be loading Reloader 22 and pushing this bullet 2450-2500fps.

I used them some years ago and did not like them at all, they expand well at short range but failed me at 200 yards consistantly, they would not open up..they are very thick on the end...

I would suggest the Woodleigh 300 gr., it is a fantastic bullet that works evey time and really hammers elk down....
