What do ya'll think about the Tikka 595 or 695 rifles? I see that they were discontinued, and now the light version is offered. It looks like the new Tikka has one size fits all long action, where I think the 595 was a short action.

The 595 & 695 are very nice rifles. In the looks department they don't look very good compared to the Win 70 etc. But handling and function-wise they are very good.

I currently own a 595 in 308 Win which I refer to as my will-do-anything-rifle. It could serve very well as my one and only rifle, but what fun would that be? Wink(I own six rifles)

They shoot very well and the triggers are nothing short of amazing. The magazine is single-stack which can't be loaded when the magazine is in the rifle, but it cycles extremely well (as most single-stacks do).

IMO, the Tikka 595/695 is a lot of rifle for the money.

I have a 595 Master Deluxe (I think that's what it is called) in 223 Rem. What a delight to hold and shoot.Sub minute with 55 grainers. Great rifle from an era before they discovered plastic. I also have a M65 in 270. I'm beginning to grow very fond of the old Tikka's

I have a 595 in 22-250. By no means a fancy rifle, but it has a slick action, good trigger, and is very accurate. I've always got an eye out for older left-handed Tikkas.
