So I saw its video, and other than the ridiculous finger gesture the guy is making I fail to see anything interesting or anything that makes it the champion of the "new era" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMOABUq3FmQ Can you tell me what practical advantage is there in a rifle that seems to lock the bolt backwards until you push a thumb lever? Or is is merely something to go around the ban on semi-autos is some restrictive markets? It looks like a way to get around a restriction on auto-loaders. The rifle automatically locks the bolt to the rear after firing, but one must depress the bolt release with the thumb to chamber another round and reset the trigger. It may even be cocking on closing as well. .

If that's the case then the Aussies will change the law for it. Don't Ever Book a Hunt with Jeff Blair or Blair Worldwide Hunting http://forums.accuratereloadin...043/m/3471078051/p/1

I can never understand the European's penchant for messing with a system that actually works! All those rifles with moving actions and straight pull bolts are no improvement on the old system. Only manufacturer in Europe that makes good rifles today is SAKO!

In France, a semi-automatic rifle for hunting, due to the law, cannot shoot more than 3 cartridges (1 in the chamber+ 2 in the magazine) and since 1995 the magazine of every semi-automatic must be fixed to the rifle. For semi-automatic rifles bought before 1995, it's possible for the owner to use them with a special permission but they are not allowed to lend these rifles. For example, I'm not allowed to hunt with my father's Hk 940 For some hunters, and especially for driven hunt, 3 cartridges are not enough and loading and unloading a fixed magazine on a semi-automatic rifle is not as easy as a mobile magazine. But In France for bolt action rifle, lever action rifle , pump action rifle or straight pull action rifle, the law allows you to have up to 10 cartridges in the magazine + 1 in the chamber. This new Verney-Carron has been created to offer a biggest capacity of fire and also to have a moving magazine. VC has circumvented the law with this system but to be honest I prefer the V-C Pump action (L-A).

LOL I am happy not living in France! Here in Czech Republic, because we are the part of that f*c*i*g communist EU, we also allow only 2+1 for semiauto. So at the beginning and the end of the hunt, everybody has that stupid 2 round magazine in semiauto rifle, but in the woods . . . just take your backpack down and change that stupid 2 round magazine for 10 or 30 round one ;-) I hope that EU will collapse sooner than they will force us to change OUR gun laws. Especially some suggestions from UK are absolutely crazy (they want to seize all "military full auto" based semiauto rifles, like semiauto AKs, AR-15s etc.). Jiri Jiri

We should all be limited to one in the rifle and one in our pocket hunting big game. As we get older we all need a bit more spice in our lives particularly when hunting the great bears. Now for self defense we have many 30 round magazines (pre-ban) for our M4s Regards, Chuck "There's a saying in prize fighting, everyone's got a plan until they get hit" Michael Douglas "The Ghost And The Darkness"
