A local shop has a used stainless synthetic model 70 in 300 ultra mag for $600

These seem to be getting pretty scarce. Is this price too good to pass up, or just average?

If it is a CRF action then that is a steal. It is also worth more if it's left handed. The RUM CRF is prized for big bore conversions because they aren't making them anymore.

Cheaper than in California. Some of the shops around here sell used guns for more than the same new gun would cost you a couple states over.

Thanks guys. Sid, it is a rh classic crf action. It looks to be in pretty good condtion.

I paid considerly more a few years ago for a supergrade model 70 in 300rum that I had rebarreled to 404 Jeffery.

I don't really need it' but thought I didn't have much to lose. I haven't seen one for sale anywhere in awhile.

Hell I'd snag that up in a heartbeat if I found it local

Those have sold for a grand in the classifieds. If you have the spare cash I would not hesitate to buy that rifle. I would love to have that gun myself and might even trade for it.
