Currently running both of the 4350s in my aging M70 with the IMR version being my favorite under 160 Partitions.

Any powder suggestions for the 140 TSX out of same ???

Never was a velocity freak but I'm wondering what the 140 is capable of out of a 22 inch barrel.

Seating depth suggestions would be helpful as well.

These ARE the good old days.

Try 63 grains of H-1000, that's what I run in mine. You will not be dissapointed

284, I have used them a lot--I have a lot of 270's. I have seen max speed with Reloader 22. It is right at max, if I recall. The one rig that shoot the 140 xxx's in exclusively liked the Reloader and the 4831SC best for accuracy, the Reloader a bit more speed.

I have had great performance on the TSX in 140, but I feel like you need to push it as fast as you can, my dedicated rig is a Sako Grey Wolf with a 22" barrel, and I was getting 2850-2950 zone. Smoked a bunch of big hogs with it in TX, put the smack down on em without a hitch.

Also smoked a couple of coyotes with it, didn't show a lot of expansion, e.g. small exits, but they were both DRT.......

hard to beat XXX's for toughness and great penetration, I will tell you that on all of my XXX's I take an appropriate sized drill bit, and make sure the hollow points are actually hollow! Worth the extra effort in my mind for peace of mind.

Good luck!

All I shoot in my rem700 270 is the 140g tsx. I love that bullet. I've taken two deer with them, and recovered both bullets. Incredible performance, both deer dropped dead in their tracks, hearts shredded to pieces.

My most accurate load is as follows

54.5g H4831SC
RP case
WLR primer
COL-3.37 (.05 off the lands in my rifle)

I know that's on the very light end powder wise, but that load gives me one hole groups all day long. I haven't put it through a chrono though. I've also tried hotter loads, and at around 57-57.5 the smallest groups I've been able to get were roughly one inch. In my rifle I started getting pressure signs at 58g, so that's as high as I've gone.

Hope this helps
