There should be a two digit number on the left side, near the serial number, between 49 and 55. That would be the year.

I've tried to get the seller to tell me those nr but he can't find them,
all he sends me is the serial nr 32173 and ZBROJOVKA NARODNI PODNIK. According to earlier messages (ALF I think) they started with the intergrated scope rail in '49 at around serial nr 23xxx.
Just wondered if somebody could tell me more exactly.

My 1954 has the serial number 387xx, so you can figure yours would be dated around 1952.

My 1950 has a 50 to the right of a proof mark on both the barrel and receiver.

Zoom in and see the "50" on the left side of the receiver.

Ask for pictures so that you can determine the condition anyway.

How long is the barrel on the 721? What is the asking price, condition and any modifications?

Does it come with the factory mount as they are cool?

The one I have now is ser. #24145 and has double sq. bridges and is stamped 49....

the year is stamped on the left side of the receiver and sometimes is hard to read as it is very close and on the right side of another proof type mark..

Thanks for the replies. If everybody are convinced that there should be a date stamped on the left side, I guess I'll ask him for more pics.

The gun does not have an original scope mount. I'll probably use Talley or Warne as i have on my ZG 47 (9.3x62 and 3006).

Don't know the barrel length on this one.
prices in Sweden on these guns usually range from 400 - 600 us$. Sometimes you can get them cheaper than that tough

Jonas,

Help me understand. Did you mean that the action is a double flat top Mauser with dovetails and your going to have it drilled and tapped for Talley mounts of all things?

Another thing is that if it is a long barreled rifle vrs the 20.5" carbine it would be worth less to me.

Email me pictures and I will post them here for you.

Talley and Warne, and few others, make rings that clamp on the factory dovetails. They are actually trimmer than the one-piece model shown in the above picture.

KurtC gave the answer. Talley, Warne and B-Square (lynx) makes rings that fit the factory dovetails (fixed and QD), should be the same ones that fit on CZ 550 (19mm).
I'll get back to you about the pics
