I bought 500 286gr Hornady Blem 9.3mm bullets from Midway. I don't have a 9.3 rifle yet. I'm wondering what is "wrong" with them? There are some longitudinal scratches on the ogive. Other than that, I see not problems. I haven't weighed them or checked them for consistency in any, though. Matt Matt FISH!! I ordered 200 and can't find much of anything wrong with the ones I checked. I've got premium bullets that have similar scratches. I don't know that I will use them for elk hunting but don't see any reason they won't work for deer, hogs and range work. Start young, hunt hard, and enjoy God's bounty.

I bought some (OK, a bunch) two years ago, they had a few scratches and maybe three bullets out of two hundred didn't have the core filled out to the end of the jacket. They still shoot just fine in my rifles and I wouldn't hesitate to use them for hunting.

Matt Sometimes they are an over run, sometimes its a cosmetic blem, sometimes the cannelure is in the wrong place specified by the contract buyer, sometimes it's weight variations. I bought 400 of them and 400 .375's as well but I have not looked at mine yet. My 9.3 shoots everything I've put in it to nearly the same point of impact and sub MOA. Not finicky at all.

Agreed with the other posters. Heck, I don't even own a 9.3 (*yet) and I bought 500 of them on principal. And 500 .375's. And 500 7mm's. And... Heck, what can I say. I'm cheap and I like to maximize shipping. Regards, Robert ****************************** H4350! It stays crunchy in milk longer!

I buy blems all the time. They shoot great! Rusty We Band of Brothers! DRSS, NRA & SCI Life Member "I am rejoiced at my fate. I bought two boxes and opened one to take a peak. I noticed that several bullets had what seemed to be an excess amount of lead on bullet nose. Most looked like there was little exposed lead on the tip and the few odd ones looked like a traditional soft point. Haven't weighed them and I have a feeling in a 286 gr bullet, my rifle won't show a difference. Looking forward to testing them once I get a scope mounted on the Husky 9.3x57.

Matt, I, too, have used "blems" in past and have had good results. Just check the diameter with a caliper gauge - You need to know if they are over diameter. ________ Ray
