Same cartridge different name. The 370 Mag is Sakos attempt to sell more of their 9.3x66 in the USA. Ironcally, I would probably be more inclined to buy it if it marketed as the 9.3x66, but that's just me. I prefer the metric nomenclature. Lou **************** NRA Life Benefactor Member

This is the cartridge that I wish Ruger had chambered rather than the .375 Ruger. I checked on the midway site and they are selling .370 Sako ammunition with both 286 grain Noslers and TSX bullets loaded to 2550 fps. It just makes so much more sense than the .375 Ruger. I haven't been able to find any brass though? Does anyone know, can you buy brass for this thing? Z-Hat customs was selling headstamped 9.3x66 brass before the 370 came about. Might want to check with Quality Cartridge too, not too many rounds they dont offer If you think every possible niche has been filled already, thank a wildcatter!

It's much better to go for 9,3x64. Even 9.3x62 is enough for pretty much anything in the world.

Just imagine if they had made it in .375 in stead. One/two more in the magazine than the Ruger or H&H... Bent Fossdal Reiso 5685 Uggdal Norway

Yes! We have for so many years 9,3x62 9,3x74R, 9,3x64 Brenneke and 9,3x70 DWM(Magnum) So who needs that new junk?

All those cartridges you speak of were new at one point too, and I'm sure many people said the same thing about "new junk". If you don't like something new, thats fine, but its no reason to trash a perfectly capable cartridge. If you think every possible niche has been filled already, thank a wildcatter!
