Went out to the range yesterday to test some loads out for these two and I think I have found a keeper for the 8mm. Rifle is a M700 BDL (factory original) Loaded up some 220gr Sierra's over RL25. Started at 83grs and worked up to 87grs. Looks like a winner! Group size 1.03" with the 87gr charge. The .300Wby shot pretty good with the 200gr Speer HCSP over 83grs of RL25. Rifle is a M70

Hi, what length barrel?, I will soon have a Weatherby Vanguard in 300 Weatherby Magnum with 24 inch barrel and I do not know what performance loss may occur. Thanks, Oscar. I am Spanish My forum:www.armaslargasdecaza.com

If you have some, give RL22 a shot in the weatherby. From many reloaders opinions, its a match made in heaven! Especially in 24" barrels. If you think every possible niche has been filled already, thank a wildcatter!

My M70 has a 26" barrel. I have tried RL22 with some 180gr bullets, and accuracy was in the 1.25 to 1.50" zone. I will try some with the 200gr and see what happens. I think I have some 200gr Accubonds.

Well, every gun IS different! Since you are using the super slow stuff, have you tried any of the 7828's? If you think every possible niche has been filled already, thank a wildcatter!

Here is RL22. Can't remember if I have tried 7828 yet.
