To all 9,3mm owners....available huntingbullets in europe for you cartridges... L@@K
Hey gazors,
after my last posting i get some requests about available 9,3mm bullets in germany. Because i know that the choice in USA isnt so big for the 9,3mm bullets, i thought this might could be of interest for all of you.
Except from the bullet producers that are listed below, Speer,Sierra..do have some too. But i guess these bullets are available in the states, so there is no need to buy them overseas.
And now the show stars

I looked in some reloading supply catalogues..., and the cheapest bullets are the Sellier and Bellot (S&B), i m not quite sure where they produce them, but i think either in hungary or tchecheslowakia.
There are two different types and weights for the 9,3mm . I guess the lighter one is for the 9,3*72R. U know this cartridge? Its the old german "Frster Patrone" a not so powerfull 9,3mm cartridge.(Pmax=1800bar; a 193gr (12,51g) Softpoint ,V0=595 m/sec; E0=2213Joule)

Sellier and Bellot Bullets:
- 9,3mm ; (.364); 193grTeilmantel Flachkopf (soft flat nose) ; 100 pieces= 21,73 EURO, 500 pieces= 100,98 EURO, 1000 pieces 192,25 Euro .

- 9,3 mm ; (.366); 285gr. Teilmantel Rundkopf (soft round nose) ; 100 pieces = 19,60 EURO, 500 pieces = 89,48 Euro, 1000pieces = 170,77 Euro.

RWS .366 diameter:
226gr. (14,5g) Doppel Kern (DK) Bullet per 50 pieces = 36,35Euro
247gr. (16,0g) Kegelspitz (KS) Bullet -,,- 33,59Euro
258gr. (16,7g) H-Mantel Kupferhohlspitz -,,- 44,89Euro
285gr. (18,5g) Vollmamtel (solid) -,,- 44,89Euro
285gr. (18,5g) Teilmantel (softpoint) -,,- 26,43Euro
293gr. (19,0g) TUG -,,- 44,84Euro

the cheaper line of RWS is called GECO, and they do have a bullet in 9,3mm too:
.366 diameter 255gr 16,0g TMR (softpoint) 50 pieces 15,70 EURO

And Blaser do have a 9,3mm Bullet too, the CDP (controlled deformation process)
9,3mm 18,5 g 50 pieces 48,57 Euro

And Norma has some 9,3mm bullets too:

232 gr (15,0g) TM PPC Vulkan 100pieces 54,20Euro
231 gr (15,0g) solid spire -,,- 35,28Euro
286 gr (18,5g) ORYX -,,- 65,45Euro
286 gr (18,5g) Alaska 50 pieces 28,10Euro

So i hope that will help, if u are interested in the different types of bullet take a look to these websides:

http://www.norma.cc

to take a look at the TIG and TUG Bullet (RWS=Brenneke side)

=>choose english language, products, rifle bullets..click on TIG or either TUG to see them.

So if u do have any further questions, you know how to reach me.

Konst,

We've got to stop encouraging these US guys, next thing we'll know 9.3s will be common - can't have that! I never knew that RWS did a solid.

Whereabouts are you in Berlin? I did 2 years there before the Wall came down, used to shoot at Rose Ranges at the weekend but never got to do any stalking. I did have a near miss with a 'GrunePig' on exercise though! 7.62 blanks made them angry!

Chus,

Konst, I was in East and West Berlin six months before "The Wall" came down... I understand the East-Berlin has changed!

I love those Deutsch names... Kegelspitz, Kupferhohlspitz, Teilmantel...

Hey 1894 and Brad,
i live in Steglitz, t isnt far away from the rod and gun club which is located in Wansee. I spent a lot of time there with my dad.
The shooting area still exists, it is now "inhabitat" by the DEVA.
Man i have to tell u how i miss this "fine food" . Not that i live from burgers and chili, but what they deserved there in former times was much better than now. I think i never have eaten better burgers than there. Not to forget that we also could by there ammo for a bargain.
Do u do some hunting in England 1894?
Feel Free to send me a message to my e-mail account.

P.S. which 9,3mm you guys shoot?

Konst, wie gehts. I'm going to be in Germany for 2 months this summer studying in Dresden. I am getting a 9,3 and have been looking for reloading components. I got to thinking about seriously looking while I was in Germany. Can you tell me any places where I can go and browse to look for brass and bullets? I' be going to Berlin a couple times and some places in between. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

hey carr 45 / 70,
i think i can help u And surely will
When will u come to germany in summer?
In Germany we do have 2 big (Frankonia and Esuard Kettner) and a lot of small hunting-shops and Bchsenmacher who sell equipment, Guns, and reloading supply.
But i do have some "sources" where i can ask for some special offers.
So if u can tell me what are you looking for, i can ask for some offers.
But i can give u some links:
www.cema-waffen.de
www.henke-online.de
www.patricks-home.de/inthuntlnk.html

So i think there u can take a look, and see if u find something interesting.
cheers

Yesterday, I called upon the local Hirtenberger importer and was amazed to find that their factory 9,3x74R ammo was loaded with 270 g SP bullets, manufactured by...SIERRA, as stated on the box ! I never saw a .366 bullet in any Sierra catalog, does somebody knows more ?

Hey,
i have taken a look in my list and couldnt find such a bullet from Sierra.
Only a Speer 270g TM-semispitz bullet.
Where do they get these bullets? Have you already contacted Hirtenberger?
let us know more about, if you have further Informations.

I presume they were just lazy. The rest of the "plain vanilla" SP bullets are from Sierra, so they just ignored the one made by Speer ( I think so ) and thought nobody would care.

I talked to their sales personnel and they dont know nuthin.

In the near future there will be a 9.3x62 with ABC bullet.

Good shooting! Hermann
