The last 2 years, I have walked into a major Canadian firearms dealer(Wholesale Sports) and they have no primers. Federal Gold Medal Match primers can't be found anywhere I have looked in Saskatoon. Why is there such a problem getting primers? Can a person buy Gold Match Federal's elsewhere? Do they ship across the border? It would seem somebody is making an effort to discourage reloading. Either the ammo companies or the Government. Federal sells a pack of primers for $4.00 and a box of premium ammo for $40.00.

Federal has a major contract with the US Army to produce cartridges, I would assume that they are working to fulfill those orders first and foremost. As for the rest, the US elected a democrat president and then started worrying about losing their right to bear arms and started hordeing. John

Every once in a while you will see 210 M's here in Kennewick,Wa. at Ranch and Home. Rick, the buyer, has probably the best"nose" anywhere for components. He got in a bunch of primers a few weeks ago. 210 M's included. All L.R. primers went in minutes. "The lady doth protest too much, methinks" Hamlet III/ii

Hey AR Corey, I shop weekly at all the stores in Calgary. You almost need to be there when the shipment comes in. And we are being limited to 1000 primers per sale. Over the past year or so, I buy them when they come in just to try to stay ahead. One great place to check is Bashaw Sports in Bashaw, AB. Ask for Pud or Randy. Great guys and usually they have 205M and 210M.

Sorry, this won't help in Canada, but Natchez has a lot of different primers in stock right now including WLR and Rem 7 /12 SRBR to name a couple. Bob There is room for all of God's creatures....right next to the mashed potatoes. http://texaspredatorposse.ipbhost.com/

It goes to show what folks are shooting in different areas. Here in the NE small rifle primers are hard to come by. You can find plenty of large rifle and Magnum. Many of the shops here keep a supply behind the counter for regulars.

1000 primers would last me the rest of my life and I am going to order that many soon. Concerning primers are so cheap, makes sense to shoot the Gold Medal Match.

Cabelas has been filling back orders for several months now. I have received nearly 30,000 primers from them in the past 60 days that were on order for 3-4 months. CCI are the easiest to obtain, followed by Remington. All bets are off on Federal and Win primers. Our local gun club has 1.5 million (CCI) being delivered at the end of the month. Sorry, i cannot offer any for sale. they are already spoken for.
