I picked up a barrel from Mad Dog weapon systems and tried a few loads. My Rifle is on an AR15 platform. 22" barrel. I went with the 130 Speer Boattail because it is supposed to be a soft bullet that I am hoping will be appropriate for deer hunting considering the modest velocity. I tried a couple different powders but the one that stood out from the rest was AR-COMP. 130 speer boat tail MDWS GPC Starline brass, CCI 450, Seated at 2.295" Alliant AR-COMP 29 ---- 2611 29.4---- 2644 29.7---- 2677 30 ---- 2691, 2716 These work in my rifle, please use proper load techniques in your rifle. ------ Yesterday at the range I shot some at 100 Yards. The groups were pretty good and especially good considering the shooter. Three of the 30 grain loads were 2675, 2688, 2678. -------------------- THANOS WAS RIGHT!

Thats some mighty fine shooting there. "though the will of the majority is in all cases to prevail, that will to be rightful must be reasonable; that the minority possess their equal rights, which equal law must protect, and to violate would be oppression." ---Thomas Jefferson

If anyone was wondering, the 27 GPC is a 6.8 SPC improved of sorts. 6.8 SPC ammo can be fired in this chamber and the fire formed brass adds a couple grains capacity over the 6.8 SPC. New brass is available as are dies. I think this is a useful cartridge that is not known well enough. Anyone that reloads can easily be up and running with this round. -------------------- THANOS WAS RIGHT!
