I picked up a RRA Coyote custom looking for something on the AR 15 platform with a little more thump for a deer drive gun. I was pleasantly surprised with the accuracy with both 90 grain Sierra HPs and Remington 115 grain CL Bonded both shooting MOA and the 90s to about .7 at 100. Recoil actually seems less than the 223 and muzzle jump is almost non-existent. I got my chance to try it out on a 1 1/2 year old doe about 110 pounds broadside at 75 yards. My shot went a little high and right punched directly through both shoulders leaving a rather large full baseball sized exit. It rolled the doe down a small hill and surprisingly she rolled to her feet and made it a blood sprayed 10 yards before expiring. I was shocked that that light of a bullet started at 2450 would pass through albeit a softer target. I am pretty impressed with the 6.8.

I have a Ruger 6.8 Ranch Rifle. I use it on my land for a truck gun. I'm using factory 120 SST and just bough some 115 Federal Fusions. Killed a bobcat with it about a month ago. Seems like a good medium game cartridge for AR type rifles. I haven't spent much range time with it but my max shot on my land is 100 yards so it doesn't need to be a tack driver. It's certainly handy for carrying in the woods.
