You won't go wrong with the Remington pump in any calibre but it is very nice in the Whelen. I've had mine since the early 90's and never regretted it. It's one of three pumps I own, the other two in 30-06. I believe Remington is doing a special run this year.

That rifle is listed under Grice Exclusive Special Run Guns.

Call the number on the web site?

The 35 Whelen is a good choice is whatever action type you choose, and the Remington 7600 is a top choice, if you like a pump.

Also see: http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/centerfire_r..._750_woodsmaster.asp especially the carbine.

I bought a 700 CDL in 35 Whelen from Grice back a few years ago when the Whelen was a "Grice exclusive." Love the rifle and caliber, and Grice's were great to deal with over the phone and in person (I'm NY and they're located about 3 hours south of me).

You'll be lucky if you get out of there with just one gun! Smiler

Good luck. -WSJ
