Anybody here know what the original ballistics of the .310 Cadet round are? I have a Martini that has been relined to 32-20 and I would like to work up a load that prints to the sights.

Google is good... http://64.177.205.5/martini/describe.htm "The original 310 Cadet cartridge featured a 120g bullet loaded to about 1200 fps." Seems well within the capacity of the 32 WCF. Seyfried wrote about them in Rifle magazine. Neat article as I recall. http://www.riflemagazine.com/magazine/index.cfm?magid=51

I just paper patch cast bullets for the M-1 carbine (around 115 to 120 grains) in mine. It shoots pretty close to the sights with that. Also, you might try seating gas checks upside down on the powder before adding a bullet. That seems to help keep all the gas from going ripping past.
