Over the last two months, I have picked up 4 guns but haven't had time to shoot three of them
until today. They are as follows:

1) Ruger M77 (tang safety) in 7mm Rem. Mag. with a recoil reducer. Shot the 500 meter ram repeatedly today prone off a bi-pod until it got boring. This performance was expected. First recoil reducer I've owned though,,,,they do work. I wonder if you hear the blast when shooting a nice buck? Or does your mind blank it out?

2) CZ USA in 223. This ones a little sporter that's clip fed. I put an old Redfield 12X with the really fine wires and dot. This is a sweet little shooter! Gotta love that set trigger. Wasn't able to shoot groups today, just steel.

3) Winchester 94 Trapper cut to 16" in 30/30. Wow, this is the one that most surprized me. Even with the crappy sights I was shooting 1.5" groups at 50 yds. with it. A perfect Georgia brush gun. But man does it kick though. As you know the 94's don't kick all that hard, but they kick solid. And the short barrel makes it worse. I honestly believe it kicked more than the compensated 7mmRM. I think that with better sights and a soft pad, this will be my "meat" gun.

4) Remington 1100 12 guage, wasn't worth a damn and traded it for the Trapper.

You may not "hear" the blast, but your ears will still be ringing.

And congrats on the the rifles, I've got an old tang safety RSI in .308 that's one of my favorites.

I've got an old M94 in 30-30 that thinks it's a match rifle, it's MOA for 5 shot groups.
