I just realized that my new 35 Whelen has a 1-16 twist. Will this keep me from using 250 gr. bullets with any accuracy??? Thanks MD

You shouldn't have any problem stabilizing 250 grain bullets, but I prefer 1 in 12 twists in my Whelen Improveds. Jerry/AK

I have no problem stabilizing standard 250 gr. bullets in my 1/16. Shoots like a house-a-fire. FWIW, Dutch.

Shouldn't be a problem with 250 gr and under. If you choose to shoot cast bullets, then the slower twist is an advantage, as it is less violent to the cast bullet, and as such should make it easier to find good loads.
