Has anyone purchased a mcmillan stock for their cz 550 ? I want to get a synthetic stock for mine and wondered if the fit was good and overall if they work well.

I had one on my CZ 550 .375 H & H. I have sold it now, used it for a while with the McMillan. Its a typical straight, high comb classis american stock. I dont like them much, to much "stock in my cheeks", but if you like that style it is a good stock. It heavier than the original wood stock, mine was appr. 1/2 pound more, and it has a longer forearm. The finish is utilitarian, a rugged no nonsense stock for a working rifle, but not much to look at. In short, not my cup of anything, but very solid, quiet and more or less "drop in" fit. Recoil was, as far as I remember, very comfortable but I had no problems with the original stock either, so I can not say if there is a major difference.
