The 30-06 has already been established as THE do all caliber (in north america and many other parts of the world) for decades. But one european cartridge that I think is WAY underrated and extremly versatile is the 8X68s. IMO it is a superior cartridge to the 300 WM in every aspect. I just wish it was as popular in NA as the 300 mag. | |||

I just built a .416 WSM and it might be a contender for the "all round" rifle. Very manageable recoil, 2300fps w/350 gr. = over 4000 f/p @ the muzzle, moa accuracy, all in a 7 lb. rifle. What more could you want?..........Tom SCI lifer NRA Patron DRSS DSC | |||
