.338 RUM 225 TSX results
Hey all! I just got back from dialing in .338 for elk season which opens on Monday. I have a mostly factory 700 (added brake)--Load was 96.0 grains of H1000; FED215M, REM cases (of course)and 225 TSX-- I have to agree that the TSX is a DRASTIC improvement in accuracy over the other barnes X bullets. The load chronied at 3100 fps +/- 15 and 3 shot groups were consistently around .75"--not bad for a "meat getter"......

Now if the elk will cooperate Monday......

I wondered too but it's really complicated and in PDF yet. There is one area open 8-1 for antlerless elk at least. I gave up after that. Why I bothered to look I wonder at.

In any case the elk better look out with that cannon aimed at them.

Go for it.

How was the copper build up in your barrel using those TSX bullets. I am thinking about using them but don't want a lot of copper build up in my barrel.

Yes, August 1 in units 8 and 8A...

Copper build up is minimal (by comparison to the standard X) still need a good scrubbing with CR-10 though....
