Boiler room, My data shows the Weatherby thoroughly out performing the WSM. Well, only by a couple of hundred feet per second. I guess thats not too much. Now, we cant even put the 270 win and the 270 Weatherby in the same category. There is about 300-400 fps inbetween the two. Reloader

Thats my point. 200fps between 270 Win and the WSM, 200Fps between WSM and the Weatherby. (some people have narrowed it down to less than a 100fps with 24" barrels and with the lighter bullets, a few have beaten the Weath) If the 270 WSM hasnt got much on the 270Win, then the Weatherby hasnt got much on the WSM. The cost of Brass for the Weatherby is something it does have a big gain on though. I compare as we speak(in Canadian). 270 Win(50) $18.99 270 WSM(50) $26.99 270 Weatherby(20) $34.99 This is from a mail order called Russell's Sporting goods and has a reputation for good prices here. The gap between the 270 Win and the Weatherby is pretty darn wide. I never implied there wasnt one worth mentioning.
