For those of you that actually hunted elk, when you're on a fairly fresh trail where many elk have traveled, you can actually smell them....their odor is strong enough that a human's nose can detect it and if one scoops up some snow and smells it directly it's quite unpleasant.....contrast that with the video!!!! Big Grin shocker

Graybird had a similar experience this year when he got started on his bull.
Hosed him down better than I've ever seen, looked like someone turned on a garden hose!
Made for some good laughs at the time. animal

Five years ago I killed a big cow and prior to gutting it, walked up the trail to get the horses and my dad to help. Flipped it over on her back and noticed she was really swollen. Tons of air in the belly. I shot her in the neck while she was chewing her cud in her bad. Anyways, I was being super careful, but my dad yeleld something at me and my knife slit the very top of the stomach. ABout a 1/2 inch hole. Mostly air, but some of the nice green stuff got me right in the face. We laughed like those guys do. It was hilarious.
