The owners of HS Precision would have to be living under a rock to not understand the revulsion this would incite among gunnies. Obviously, they don't give a shit about us and are only concerned with securing .gov contracts. Screw 'em.

I sent them an email asking if their next testimonial would be from Lee Harvey Oswald.

What the hell is wrong with management of these companies? First Cooper Firearms and now HS Precision......What in their demented minds could make them make decisions this far off base??

HS will be doing without my business and so will their vendors if they do not drop HS products within a reasonable time.

well son of a bitch, I am going to have to wait 8 months to get a mcmillan stock now. Because there is no way I can rationalize buying the HS stock I had in mind for the 260 rem I am about to build. $hit.

And another thing, what kind of a buisiness would print a endorsement from a coward who shot an unarmed woman looking through a 12 power scope at 150 yards. I have a 6 year old son that has better trigger judgement than him. Looks to me that HS has sold out to the all mighty goverment dollar.

Doesn't matter much to me, I would have never shelled out that much money for one of their rifles to begin with. As far as their stocks go I have never been impressed by their barrel channels and inletting. So I wouldn't have purchased one before and I will just stay the course.

Over at Gunbroker, we hammered them pretty good with a ton of e-mails asking them if they really wanted the testimonial of a murder of women and children. I suspect that campaign might find a quick turnaround with new testimonails, ifin they are smart.

I understand that HS-Precision issued the following "apology"

"H-S Precision has received comments relating to individual testimonials in our 2008 catalog. All of the testimonials focused on the quality, accuracy and customer service provided by H-S Precision. The management of H-S Precision did not intend to offend anyone or create any type of controversy. We are revising our 2009 catalog and removing all product testimonials."

The Management of H-S Precision

This is wonderful decision. It is as if all the righteous indignation was over a testomonial; not the vile individual who issued it. I would have probably been just as outraged if they promoted their new John Lee Malvo line of M16/AR15 stocks. Management should have enough balls to print the name of the "Officer" who issued the apology.

The best thing they could have done at this point in time....but....they should have forseen the backlash this would cause. Shame on them.

It made so so sick to my stomach, I remember the events at Rugy Ridge well. I find it unbelieveable that a corporation would be so shallow as to not expect a negative response from the shooters of America. It does not say much for their advertising department. I think I would be looking for some other folks in that department. Ones with a little more savy and insight.

I am embarrassed to say it but I just bought two of their stocks a month or so ago. I wish I had known. I just sent an e-mail to them expressing my regret that I bought their product. A lot of good that will do.

While HS Precision may have made a marketing blunder, the quality of their product has not changed (for better or worse).

Regarding the rest, I'll try to avoid the "Sunday morning quarterbacking" since I wasn't there and don't have all the facts.
