I have a sako 75 that is within the recall numbers, they say do not shoot under any circumstances and a 800 number to call. I have called it 4 times in 2 weeks with no response.
Any ideas that might help?
thanks

I would try calling Beretta USA at 301-283-2191, and see if they can help. -Beretta now owns Sako and their service and spare parts are handled through them (you probably already knew this).......................DJ

reddy375 it is not old news to me, because I bought this rifle and put it in safe and just took it out to shoot.
Went to range and unlike no 4 other Sako rifles that shoot under 1" with everything, it will group only 2 to 3" with 3 different factory loads. Just found out about recall.

The above post should read I have 4 other Sako rifles and all shoot under 1" with everything, but the model 75 will only shoot between 2 & 3 inches with factory

Yes it is one of those stainless guns. Only sako I have that will not shoot 1" @ 100 yards.
Of course, I will not fire it again.

Mine is 455121. I copied a sheet with an 800 number to call it has been over 2 weeks and 4 messages with no response. I am really shocked with Sako for lack of follow up.
Stainless mod 75 in 270 WSM.

Safe queen for many years before I shot it.

gi, I am an absolute Sako nut, in particular I really like the 75 and 85 models. The 75's will damn well shoot, but I think you got one where the Sako parting line was that they got a bad batch of barrel steel.

If you can't get any help through Beretta, call JB at Accuflite arms and ask his advice. He runs a great business an is a Sako expert, and is actually consulted by Sako on their rifles. It's worth a phone call if you can't get a response from Beretta. I have actually found the Beretta folks pretty helpful in the past....

Good Luck!

If SAKO put out a recall they should answer there recall if not then there isn't a recall.
thats how I see it.

Hate to say, but Beretta customer service is not the best.

Thanks for thenumber of Beretta. Called them today, it is not one of those that will blow up. Spoke with real person.

Told him how the rifle would not shoot, he said to write a history of what I tried and send it with the rifle to Beretta.

Thanks

No, bought it in Chalmette, a suburb of New Orleans, it was a grocery store that handled some really nice guns, bought Beretta O/U, Benelli and Sako there. Also several Swaro. scopes.

Katrina blew, or washed them away.
