Just bought a mark x in 30-06, looks to be in great condition, haven,t shot it yet. quick question; the two bolts holding the stock to the action needed to be tightened a little bit, should I put some loctite on the threads or leave it alone and just check occasionally?
Thanks, jsal

I had a Mark X in 7x57 and don't recall that being a problem. I'd tighten them up and if they back off, then I'd go to the locktite or finger nail polish.

If you use loctite, make SURE you use the medium hold/strength or you will NEVER get them out!

I would simply tighten them. If they do happen to back out then you can use something. Like aliveincc said if it is loctite make sure which one you use.

As usual just my $.02

I would NOT use Loctite on stock bolts. Wooden stocks expand and contract. You will want to adjust tension accordingly.
