I used a RWS 183gr H-mantel last year on waterbuck, baboon and bushpig and a Sako 22200gr Hammerhead on wildebeest. Both worked nicely, ranges varied from 8-250 meters. Next time I´m loading a 200gr Swift A-frame, it should be just about right for the bush.

I have used RWS factory KS 180 gr and Hirtenberger's 200 gr ABC bullets (X mono type).

KS going 3200 fps - although very accurate proved to be too brittle on game and gave some odd results (big exits and veered penetration on occasion), friend lost his eland with this cal/bullet combo.

ABC going 2850 fps gave great penetration (in-out on frontal red stags and adult boars) - nice 2 1/2 cal. exits - unnecesary heavy (IMO) with average balistics over 200m (if that counts?).

My 8x68S is siting in the case for some time now, but if I would be looking for a bullet/load now it would be something light, fast and rigid - that would make 8x68S shine - GSHV?
