Build is as follows for my .338-06:

M70 Classic action
Pac-Nor #3 Shilen Super Match barrel 24" long 1:10 twist 3 groove
McMillan Hunters Edge stock inlet for Montana action (found on campfire classifieds)
Talley LWT extended mounts
Leupold VX3 2.5-8X36 B&C reticle

Kevin filled in the stock and matched the color pretty well where the bolt release was for the Montana action.

You should have dropped it by my place on your way out of town and let me play with it awhile!
I like that rifle and glad I got to fondle it at Kevins.
It looks great with a scope on it.

Well when you do that favor for me next week have the wife give it to you. The dies are above the fridge, I have a some RL15, 185-200 grain Accubonds, and around 100 pieces of new Nosler & Norma brass under the bench, the primers are on the shelf above the bench and go have fun! I was going to swing by and shoot it on my way out of town however, my loaded .338-06 ammunition for my other rifle chambered real hard.

Very nice. Try some Barnes 185 TTSX in it or your 200gr Noslers either will put the smack down on anything in the lower 48.

I used to own Kevin Weaver's rifle #8; a wood-stocked Mauser in 270 AI, with fancy Fleur de Lis checkering and a 1 lb trigger. That was before anyone knew who Kevin Weaver was! :-)

Kevin's work is top-notch! I had him build a .375 Ruger for me on a pre-64 Mod 70 and it is one tough, sweet-shooting rifle. I wish you many good days afield with yours!

Absolutely, Kevin got my 500 Jeffery to feed and extract "like butter". He also fixed my XCR II which wouldn't feed Rem factory 375 H&H ammo when it was new "out of the box". Did a great job on both.

Chuck

CONGRATS!!! Sweet looking rig for sure. I LOVE my 338-06AI that was built back in 2008 off a Sak m75 Greywolf with a new PacNor Supermatch Grade stainless barrel.

LOVES 225gr AB's and TTSX's.
