I know that the 9.3x62 is generally widely available in europe and africa. How about the 9.3x64? I am considering one of the two for use in Portugal, Spain, Canada and some Southern and Eastern African countries.

For a calibre that not supposed to be very popular there have sure been a lot of responses in a short time. I have a 9.3x64. I had Ralf Martini barrel a minty German mauser 98action. The bolt face was opened up and the feed rails touched up ever so slightly. Ralf did a superb job on my rifle. It feeds so slick. I also bought a supply of RWS brass from Ralf. Didn't cost anymore the Weatherby cases. If there is better brass anywhere I haven't seen it. It is also possible to form brass from 458 or 338 cases. I used 458 brass. All you do is 1/machine the belt off 2/ rebate the rim slightly 3/ recut the extractor grove using a shell holder as a "go"gauge 4/ size case ensureing a snug chamber fit 5/load and fireform. I used Win brand cases and they have exactly the same capacity as RWS brass. I was considering putting it in a nice wood stock but I wanted to shoot it,so I glass bedded it into a Butler Creek stock and found it groups under an inch @ 200yds with 250 grNosler BT and 286 gr partitions and 293 TUG bullets. I doubt it will ever see that nice wood stock. For large game this calibre has few peers.
