I shot a 1000 pound bull for a friend of mine yesterday. He was facing me at about 50 yards when I shot him in the forehead, the bullet penetrated his head and about two or three inches of his neck, shattering the neck bones. I was very impressed with the penetration, I really like Core-Lokt bullets. The bull had gotten so aggressive in the past few weeks we couldn't get him in a trailer.

Nice; I didn't know that Remington finally made 9.3 bullets.
Did you consider de nutting him a month before killing him? The meat would have tasted much better.

Last time that happened to me the rancher cut him in half and told the processor to give me the front half.
Rancher said the front half was both front quarters, neck, and head.

dpcd, I think he was probably too aggressive to get into a cattle shoot to do that otherwise he could have been loaded into a trailer.

His plan was to use him for breeding on one of his other farms. He signed his death warrant Monday evening when he chased the hired hand into the woods.

One hooks him up to a decent sized tractor's front end loader and hoist him up in the air.

I help the FIL moved two Holstein bulls they were a lot bigger then 1000lbs.

He kept them in specially built bull pens. Fortunately the pens had trailer ramps built in. Big mean and nasty I was very glad he decided to ship them and go to AI all the time.

Bulls and stallions are nothing to mess with they well kill you shortly if they take mind to and your not very careful.

I can only find Rem 286gr PSPs in factory ammo here in Alberta. Which Rem 9.3x62 ammo has Hornady Interlock bullets? I'm also only aware of Hornady making Accu-Tip for Rem and Rem using Barnes bullets in some of their ammo. But the Core-Lokt is their design and manufacture, no?

Remington doesn't seem to make any components anymore. Maybe a few calibers of brass or bullets but nothing like years ago. Remington Core-Lokt pretty much equals the Hornady Interlock, so.....

I believe you guys... I believe Rem maybe does not make their components as much anymore. All I'm saying is:
The only Rem factory ammo for 9.3x62 I have seen so far and I'm able to get is their PSP bullets.

So either PSP is the same as Core-Lokt PSP, which I did not think was the case but could be. Or they are different, which would make the case of who manufactures Core-Lokt and Interlock irrelevant.
Also, I thought the Interlock had more lead exposed at the tip than either of Rem Core-Lokt or PSP, but I do not have all 3 to compare. Hence my wondering and desire to know. Wink

During my seasons as Mr. Bison culler, we always used end loaders or back hoes to move the carcasses. The custom butchers had a great little folding aluminum frame that would support the bison belly up. Very easy to gut them that way..

Sure lots of folks eating old bulls, something I only tried once, even the dog wouldn't eat it..the more you chewed the larger the hamburger got!! Roll Eyes

The rope is a better bull killer than the 9.3x62 drag him into the trailer and haul him to the Saturday sale..Two men on horses that can rope will get that done...Check around where you live, Im sure their are some cowboys that will do that for a $50 bill eacn and the bull will bring you good money..

Ray he wasn't old, less than two years. There's are guys that rope cattle here, but this bull was jumping fences and getting on the roads the farmer wanted him dead and quickly. Haven't eaten any of the steaks yet but the Burger is very good. Happy Thanksgiving, Bryan
