Description: BLR lightweight `81, Short Action
The original stock that made the BLR famous has returned. The '81-style straight stock lends traditional styling to this modern lightweight lever action. It also makes it quicker handling and better balanced. Available in most popular short-action calibers. Now available in 450 Marlin and 358 Winchester.
BLR lightweight `81, Long Action
Shoulder this rifle and you'll feel the difference you can only see in photos here. The original '81-style straight stock has returned. It makes even a long-action quicker handling and gives this advanced lever action a distinctive, traditional look that a lever-action rifle should have. The aluminum receiver and rotating bolt combine to make the BLR lightweight, yet magnum tough.

looks pretty interesting to me...i'm still not fully comfortable with the over-sized receiver, but i guess that's par for the course when loading bolt gun rounds in a lever.

of course the question now is: which do i get first the BLR '81 in 358 win or 7mm WSM?
