I'm an owner of a Sendero SF 7mm RUM, the recoil isn't bad at all.... less than the .30-06, in my humble opinion. I haven't experimented with the long range stuff yet but I have bagged to KY whitetails at 250+ yards (estimated). Being active duty Navy doesn't give me the opportunity to get to target shoot all that much, hopefully in the near future. I think it's a keeper, but opinions are like as_holes.... everybodies got one. | |||

Man talk about splitting hairs. This is like watching a soap opera. The 7 rem mag will kill more animals than most of the guys here will hunt in a lifetime. I have a 7 rem and have shot everything from antelope at 525 yds , to whitetail at 100 , to muley's at 350, to elk and moose from 10 to 75 yds all with the same 165 gr boat tail. Is it enough gun ? Hell yes it is, there is anly one animal I would go bigger on and that is a Coastal Brownie (338 for it) and I dont own that gun or have that hunt booked. So me and my 7 rem do just fine.Another side note recoil is a personal thing and has a lot of varieables to it every gun and person is different . My gun weighs in at 10+ its a tank. but maybe if this gun weighed in at 5.5 lbs I may not like it as much , but it does'nt . the fact of the matter is that there has been tons of game killed with a 260 ,including elk so why would I need to go to a 30 bore?
