neat Ruger spotted...
I went to an old fashioned gunshow this morning (that's one held in the local National Guard Armory), and saw a pretty nifty Ruger MkII bolt action rifle. It was chambered in 7x64 Brennecke!
If it had been a tang safety model I would have bought it.

Those were made for the European market for several years and some were sold here too... I've seen a couple myself.

Essentially a 280 Rem.

IS, whats so special about the tang safety model 77? I have both and they are both all right I guess, honestly should have bought 700 Rems, but I think I like the Mauser style a little better.

Duck,

it's a simple push forward to fire push back to make safe thing. Most of us cannot operate the MkII safety and keep our hand in position to fire the rifle. One of those little things that might get you killed hunting DG.

I wouldn't mind having a Ruger in 7x64. Any leads would be appreciated. Wink
