Anyone got a lead on Factory loads?
The S&B offerings are very available , I have both weights.
But they are a bit less than their published velocities....No problem for casual Hog shooting here on the ranch ,but I want to try something else so I can put a nice old rifle to work this season
Appreciate any information or leads.
Thanks

We get Norma and Lapua factory ammo here. Never measured velocity though.

Howdy,

I don't know if they are still stocking it but Sportsman's Warehouse had a load of Remington 7x64 recently. I bought three boxes just in case I got a deal on 7x64 in the future.

Sportsman's Warehouse had become my local go-to for stuff the t-shirt-and-sneaker sporting goods stores don't carry.

Many years ago for a beautiful Mannlicher 7x64 factory loads were not available. I did have rcbs dies for reloading. I used 30-06 brass resized to 7x64 with 280 remington reloading data. It worked fine.

This is, of course, rifle dependent.
I guess the question is also about what's available in your area.

In my 7x64 I get absolutely phenomenal accuracy with Sako Hammerheads. I haven't chronoe'd them but all other Sako ammo I've chronoe'd has been spot on.
A bit dear but Lapua Naturalis is excellent on game.
In other calibers, the Norma Oryx has never failed me. - But in my 7x64 I don't achieve the accuracy I desire.

Thanks to the Finnish Hunter,Sir.
I will keep my eye out for the Sako and Lapua Loadings in my search..... I had kind of been leaning toward the Norma, It is th Scandinavian Ammo we most commonly see in the US
