| Do it right. get a Pachmeyr Decellerator pad. They work great and so far have not sunk at all. Paul B. |

| I have checked out the Decelerator in the store and was more impressed by the Limbsaver.
The Browning X-Bolt pad is much better than both. |

| it all depends upon what you are after in a recoil pad. The decelerator comes in different styles and I have them on several of my rifles, love em.

| Put one on my 270 many years ago (1989 ?) it made it kick like a 243. Putting the Pachmayr XLT on my 500 Jeffery, it's supposed to be just a thicker and somewhat softer decelerator from what I've read. I need the extra LOP. I'm not sure what came stock on my CZ Safari Classic, it works Ok, but it's already coming apart in a year and picks up lint like it was made to!

Chuck

| I've got to recommend the Pachmayr Decelerator over the Limbsaver after using both. Although the Limbsaver feels softer, it's almost as though it prolongs the recoil (300 Win Mag). The Decelerator on both my 338 Win Mag and 7mm Rem Mag seems to reduce the recoil to a greater extent. All recoil "sensation" is subjective and it's up to the individual shooter to decide. Just my $0.02, but I am disappointed by the Limbsaver and will replace it with a Decelerator.

| Limbsavers deform just sitting in the gun rack. And they do NOT return to shape. I have a gunsmith friend who recommends storing any gun with a Limbsaver muzzle down. I have decellerators on all my rifles except one.

I have a decelerator on a recently aquired 30-06, and also have a slip on Limbsaver. The decelerator wins hands down, no contest. |

| Try the Hi-Viz X-Coil pads.
It's full of gel that totally deadens any recoil.
I think they're better than sorbethane pads. |

| Does the Pachmayr Decelerator come with holes in it or is a solid rubber. I've never replaced my recoil pads. What ever came with the rifle worked just fine for me. |
