Just wanted to let you guys know that Limbsaver has great customer service.

If any of you have purchased recoil pads from them that have turned into a gooey mess just go to their website and get the contact info for their CS department. They'll be glad to fix the problem in short order.

I bought some LS recoil pads for several rifles a while back that were defective. The chemical composition was off and they started turning into a gooey mess which ruined the cloth in the bottom of my fire safe. They turned into a sticky mess that stuck to just about everything (gun cases, dirt, leaves, clothing, etc etc.) Mad.

I contacted Limbsaver's Customer Service department and was informed that they had made a batch of recoil pads in which the soft compound was undercooked. This led to a sticky gooey surface on some of the pads after a bit of use. AS luck would have it, I happened to buy a few of those pads Frowner.

I was pleased with the CS that was provided by Limbsaver on the issue. The CS rep asked me which models I was having this problem with so, I gathered the info from thier site and sent the model #s in an email. They replied in short order with an email stating replacement pads were on the way.

Pretty good CS IMO

If they had "great customer service" they wouldn't have shipped that crap in the first place.

Did they cover the cost of pad in your safe, cost of shipping, and any installation cost if you had them ground to fit?

curious on this. Some companies offer it up front, some only if pushed.

Two different things. Yes, thier QC was bad on that batch but, their CS is pretty good to correct the issue IMO.

I've had problems with products in the past when companies didn't do a thing!

They didn't cover the cost of the pad in my safe, I didn't even ask.

They covered all shipping on the new pads, didn't even want me to ship them the old pads.

These were all the cutsom fit pads they offer, not the grind to fit. I didn't place these pads on high end guns just some run of the mill factory rifles that needed new pads. Most of my nicer rifles have Decelerators. The limbsavers reduce recoil much more than the decelerators but, they aren't as pretty for sure.

There are apparently a lot of people here who have never made a mistake at work.. I am interested in hiring, as I've never had a perfect employee yet! Every product will need customer svc and warranty work. How they handle it can be the difference between success and failure. The LS are really good on a heavy caliber.
