I ordered one last year in 300 rum for around $700 as well. Figured I better get one while they still show it in stock in left hand...the Remington website did not show that they were making them anymore.

...still haven't shot it yet but have lots of ammo and dies for it. My Timney trigger for it arrived on Monday.

Seems all I see lately is bad press regarding Remington- but back in the day a 700 CDL was a rifle worthy of praise. <$700 is quite reasonable. I hope you are happy with it.

They have in stock a stainless, left, magnum action. I don't need one but there is someone out there who would love to have one for a build.

got my rifle yesterday. shot it this morning. HOT.. here is S.C. very muggy, Heat index is about 101 anyway, right out of the box shot 1" groups at 100 meters, i had some ammo here i loaded for my other Rem.700 S.S. 7-08. very happy...
