Fred was the master of Mauser actions, particularly the large Magnum version. Love to see one in 270 Bee...great caliber.

Sorry but the best I could do was to add a link to the picture. I'm on an iPad and that may be my problem.

I'm planning to have Fred's wife do some additional engraving on the gun. Fred put this gun together for a friend. He worked the internals so that it is as smooth as butter.

I guess that it is not what someone would expect to see as a "Fred Wells" gun, but I sure like it. Visiting Fred's shop is quite an experience; "every Mauser ever made except for two" is what Fred's wife told me. I even saw the MONSTER Mauser that he made for a guy in Texas, it was in the shop for his son to make a duplicate.

Please let me know what you think of my Mauser. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
