I'm curious... do all you (factory Rem 600 / 660 / 700) 350 user's have "long" throat's in your 350's? I've noticed in a few articles and on various BB's user's state they could (if the 2.8" mag box allowed) seat bullets out a bit past 3.0". I went to Clymer's site to look at the reamer dimension's... They list the freebore length at .2550" that's fairly substantial. Seems the new 1999 SA or M70 WSM action might be tailor made to get the most out of this shorty with "standard chambering"... My 600 had a pretty long throat. I built my next 350 on a 98 for that reason. I could load my cartridges out to 3.3" (actually just under)and get very close to the lands, while still being able to use the magazine. Loaded this way, the 350 RM handily ourperforms the 35 Whelen, and is about equal to the 35 Whelen AI. Great cartridge though. - Dan

Brad- As a side note I fired one round of the 2015 load that you posted on a month ago from the Swift manual. This was a Sierra 225 with CCI-250 seated to 2.980" over 58.0 grains of the XMR2015. I got 2696 for the one round. I didn't load anymore, as I was sure I'd just wind up pulling them. I still do better with 60.0 Varget by a few FPS.

Dan... thanks. Jesse... if I go the 350 route (I'm leaning hard) I'll try Varget first... good temperature insensitive powder. Also, I can't remember if we've talked RL15... have you tried it? It's always given me higher velocities than Varget in the 223, 243 and 308??? Brad

My 700 Classic also has a very long throat but have to limit the loads to 3.800. My all-around load is 60 grains of WW748 with a Nosler 225 grain Partition bullet. Also have been using the 220 gr. Speer FP. Both shoot less than MOA and velocity is 2660. Have been up to 62 grains of WW748@2750 but the recoil starts to get to me so I dropped back down to 2660...don't think anything hit with that bullet will notice....Bob

i agree with rjm. the 748 load works for me too. 225 noslers @ high 26's. i too tried to go up a bit but they REALLY start kicking. hard. what a great gun. i would buy all i couldn't afford if they just made them in 700 or a 7 ss or blue with a nice mountain rifle dark walnut stock and a 22" tube. that would be a reason to try there new stuff again. i bought a 300 saum last year and sold it promptly. shot very well but it was an awful piece of machining work. not impressed...... woofer

Brad- Never thought of RL-15 yet. Varget is very accurate, although I don't find it as insensitive to temp as advertised, but I haven't had a Chrony that long either. My loads at 75 deg are over 2700 and at 50 are under around 2680. I have some W748 left. The max i think is advertised at 59.0 and 2700. Just by felt recoil, in my rifle it's way under. Never chronied those, and would like to work up a load soon. Really is a "neat" caliber, and if I recall, you're from Montana?? Could probably turn into a good packin' rifle for you. My rig weighs 8.55 lbs, scoped and out the door. Am getting a different, lighter stock for it so to "sleek" it down. I am generally not a recoil pussy, but that 2015 load of 58 was getting my attention with a nose bump!! Woofer, not trying to flame you, but you always pop up on the 350 chats. I always pictured your rifle as some Mauser garage type project made of parts for some reason. Sounds to me like you really got a nice piece on your hands. Did you say it got a 22" tube??
