Ammo for the .350 Rigby

I have been coveting a .350 Rigby Magnum and will have to build one to have one.
Only problem is... there is no ammo. I need a round to chamber it with at least.
Does anyone have a source for a box or two. My guess is that I won't be able to convince Hornady to start producing any either. Last time I checked, Midway and Graf's did not have brass either.
What a horrible condition reflecting the state of man, this game of firearms and their lust.
I still want a .375 H&H Flanged Double as well!

your gunsmith can make you a size die with the same reamer he chambers the rifle with.

then you can make your own brass.

350 Rigby brass is listed at QualCart as waiting for sufficient backorder for production run.
Bertrams is listed on Grafs site as backordered.
If that helps.

Go to collectibleammunition.com and look in the British section. They are $15 ea. I bought three for my 350 Rigby project. I rented the chambering reamer and headspace gauges from reamerrentals.com for about $60 for 3 business days. I rechambered an old British .318 that had been rebored to 35 Whelen. I got lucky and found some brass(Bertram) and RCBS dies from another collector. The rifle shoots fine and headspaced perfectly, now I need to open the feedrails and extend the magazine when I wrap up a couple of other projects. Quality Cartridge will make the brass when they get enough orders and they are cheaper and miles ahead, quality-wise, over the Bertram. I need to get on their backorder list for some myself. Good Luck! Lee.

I'd love to have a 350 Rigby, but the ammo thing is the problem as you stated.

I have rifles in 416 Rigby & 275 Rigby, which beg for a 350 Rigby to join them...

You might try Superior Ammo. They have 350 Rigby listed for custom ammo. Also, I found this company, but have not contacted them, for a wildcat project. Good luck.

So really guys, what is stopping you? Nothing to build one is out of the norm except brass. If you guys are serious about it and we all get together and call Quality Cartridge, we could probably get them to tool up. I have had excellent luck with their brass. C&H4D is probably the source for dies now that they say RCBS shut down their custom shop. A 350 Rigby will cost just a bit more, but I guarantee you will be the only kid on your block that has one!

Are you building a bolt gun or D/R (350 Rigby #2) I have a Box of original Rigby 350 and several boxes of #2 that I could be convinced to sell to someone in need. I have a D/R in 350 #2 so I have a quite a bit of it around.

I have some brass on order from Midway, they say it will be shipped in late July.

Also, I know of a source called Roberson Cartridge Company: rccbrass.com. I've not ordered from them nor have I seen their products, but they do offer brass for many obscure calibers one of which is the .350 Rigby Magnum. They advertise extended case life. Their brass is very expensive.

Believe I have a box of 350 Rigby magnum rimless that I mistakenly loaded for a Rigby bolt rifle that was, in fact, in 350 Rigby No.2 with the slanted box magazine. Also have dies and, maybe, a shell holder.

Send me a PM if still interested and I'll try to find it.

Regards, Tim

Brass is available for special order from Midway with an availability date of 9/25.
Probably going to put in an order myself. Sure beats "discontinued"!
