Did the 4xxxxxx series of pre-64's not have matching S/N on the bolt to match the one on the receiver? Thnaks.

any pre-64 m70 - or post 64 for that matter should have matching #'s on the bolt and rcvr. if they don't is one of 2 things. somebody screwed around w/ the gun. or factory replacement - no scratch that, the factory would have marked it right. could be a factory error and those did occur but i'd bet the farm against it. go w/ door #1. it ain't original.
